Online Pre-MBA Courses


The Radford University MBA program offers the following online courses:

ACTG 511 Fundamentals of Accounting
This course provides an integrated study of introductory financial and managerial accounting topics typically covered in two semesters of undergraduate accounting.  The course is administered over the Internet utilizing WebCT.  Provided on the course WebCT site are chapter outlines which organize the textual coverage in related modules.  Problems are assigned to facilitate work on the important topics of each chapter.  Solutions will be provided for these problems, on a timely window of opportunity. An exam is administered at the end of each of the five modules. Exams are be scheduled, or on an as ready, basis, depending on how and when the class is offered.  Students must have permission of the instructor before being allowed to register for this class.  ACTG 511 can be used to satisfy both the financial and managerial accounting requirements for the RU MBA program.  (Three credit hours)

ECON 505 Methodology of Economics
This course provides an integrated study of macro- and microeconomics typically covered in two semesters of undergraduate economics.  The course is administered over the Internet using WebCT.  All course exams, assignments and other required activities are conducted using the WebCT site.  ECON 505 can be used to satisfy both the macro- and microeconomics requirements for the RU MBA program. (Three credit hours)
