Many MBA programs consist of a set of basic core business courses followed by a number of specialized courses in a single functional area of business (e.g., marketing, finance, information technology).  In many cases, specialized courses make up as much as one-half of the program.  The Radford MBA is different.  The Radford University MBA program provides a broad-based, cross-functional education in business and economics designed to prepare students for advanced leadership roles in both private and public sectors of the economy.  

As with many programs, the Radford Broad-Based MBA starts with a set of core business courses that provide a solid foundation of management skills.  But instead of proceeding on to a set of specialized courses in a single functional area Radford MBA students next take a series of courses that require them to delve even further into advanced topics related to all aspects of business management.  The end result is a broader, more thorough understanding of business operations better suited to the needs of executive level managers.

It is Fast-Paced!
Students who have an undergraduate degree in business or significant course work in business can be granted waivers on most if not all of the core business courses and therefore proceed directly to the advanced level of courses.  With all core business courses waived, a student can complete Radford University's fast-track MBA program in as little as twelve months on a full-time basis or few as 21 months going part-time.  Most courses are scheduled during the evenings to accommodate the hectic schedule of busy professionals.
